Render (RENDER): How the RNDR-to-RENDER Upgrade Works

Render Network is a decentralized GPU compute platform. Its current supported token is RENDER on Solana; RNDR refers to legacy Ethereum or Polygon representations that can require an official upgrade path. This page focuses on how the RNDR-to-RENDER Upgrade Works and the checks users need before using the current asset or handling a legacy representation.

Verify current Solana RENDER and safely distinguish or upgrade a legacy RNDR representation.

Render Operating Context

The network name stayed familiar while the canonical token network and ticker changed.

Current identity

The Render community moved the network's token operations to Solana and introduced the RENDER ticker. The official Solana mint is rndrizKT3MK1iimdxRdWabcF7Zg7AR5T4nud4EkHBof. SOL is required for token transfers and program fees.

Legacy RNDR ERC-20 and Polygon representations can continue to exist on their original ledgers, but they are not a second current Render Network entity. Exchanges and wallets may display historical ticker conventions, so users must verify the network and mint or contract rather than relying on the name alone.

Why one page

Keeping RNDR history and RENDER current-state guidance together prevents duplicate pages from presenting conflicting migration instructions or market identities.

How RENDER Connects to GPU Work

The token supports a compute marketplace rather than acting as a general-purpose blockchain currency.

Burn-and-mint equilibrium

Creators and compute clients can fund work by converting value into RENDER and burning the required amount for non-transferable work credits. This lets jobs be priced against a service value while recording token burns on-chain.

Eligible node operators and other contributors receive RENDER through emissions under approved schedules and program rules. Burns and emissions are related parts of the economic model, but they do not guarantee a token price, node income or continuous job demand.

Network boundaries

Solana secures current token and program transactions. Render Network software, job allocation, contributor requirements and governance add application-layer rules that a simple token transfer does not prove.

Review how Ethereum changes the network, fee-asset or transfer assumptions relevant to Render.

Render Guidance for Holders

Check representation before every deposit, withdrawal or migration.

Checklist

Confirm RENDER versus RNDR, verify Solana or the legacy host chain, match the official mint or contract, keep SOL for current token fees and test destination support.

  • Do not create separate assumptions for duplicate RNDR and RENDER pages.
  • Do not migrate through search ads or unsolicited links.
  • Do not infer Solana support from an exchange ticker.
  • Do not promise emissions or node rewards.

What Render users should verify and why this design differs

Compare the wallet asset with the official Render upgrade FAQ and mint before using the upgrade tool or an exchange deposit.

Render Migration checks FAQ

What pays transaction fees when using Render?

Solana (SOL) pays the applicable network fee. Verify the selected network before signing because a later approval, bridge, claim or exit can require another transaction.

Do I need to swap or migrate RENDER?

Use only the project's current official migration or rename instructions. A ticker or brand change does not by itself prove that a balance requires an on-chain swap.
